Counseling for Child and Adult Sexual Abuse Victims

A child or an adult who has experienced the trauma of sexual assault needs to have someone who will listen, offer support and help with healing. Counseling with a trained, professional counselor is being offered to survivors of molestation and/or rape. Professional help can also be beneficial to parents and other family members.

It is important for victims to become involved in counseling as soon as possible for their own healing and future happiness. Secondly, counseling can prevent this abuse from being passed onto future generations. Sexual abuse often becomes a problem that is passed on to generation after generation. Now is the time to say: “No More Victims!”

What Happens Without Counseling?

Without counseling, male victims are six times more likely to become perpetrators, while female victims have an 80% chance of becoming mothers of the next generation of victims from some other perpetrator.

Incidents of run-away, prostitution, drug and alcohol abuse are much higher for victims of sexual assault. These risks with children’s lives are too great to take and show the high cost of “sweeping it under the carpet.”

We offer individual counseling for adults, adolescents, and children. Additionally, for families we offer marital counseling and reunification.
